High Borrans Spinney is a 1 bedroom self catering holiday lodge with a stylish and well thought out space that is a lovely place to escape. This beautifully presented, centrally heated lodge offers all the amenities you would need to hideaway for a weekend or longer, this lodge really is the perfect retreat. The colour scheme of blues, greens and browns has been inspired by High Borrans Reservoir, a picturesque body of water, located on the farm. More adventurous guests may like to bring their dog and explore the surrounding bridle paths and famous walks, however if relaxing is more your thing, then sit back, relax, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. This idyllic location is a mere 10-minute drive from Windermere and is well situated to visit many Lake District Attractions.
The fully equipped lodge will sleep 2 guests and is perfect for couples. It enjoys a quiet and peaceful rural location yet is only a 10 minute drive to Windermere and the many Central Lakes attractions. A delightful holiday lodge in an idyllic setting. The lodge welcomes up to 2 medium sized dogs.

Things to note...
- Strictly no children or infants are permitted at High Borrans.
- High Borrans is a working farm so dogs must be kept under strict control at all times.
- Secure wifi is available in the lodge
- Mobile phone signal is very patchy in the surrounding area.
- There is a free to use onsite laundry room in the small stone building at the entrance to the lodge park. This includes 2 washing machines, tumble dyer, iron and ironing board. There is also additional shared freezer storage space (plus some spare dog towels in case of need).
- Arrival is from 4pm. Departure by 10am.
Location
High Borrans Lodges are located on a 1000 acre working Lakeland Farm in the fells between the Troutbeck and Kentmere Valleys. The popular Central Lakes villages of Windermere, Bowness & Ambleside and the main local attractions are within easy reach. The nearest shops and supermarket are a short 10 minute drive away in Windermere (3 miles). The nearest pubs are in the nearby villages of Ings or Troutbeck.
The small development of just 7, well positioned and spaced apart lodges and a Shepherd’s Hut take advantage of the peace, tranquillity and lovely views which surround the area. The accommodations are adjacent to a bridle path from where guests can set off on foot or bike to explore the surrounding scenery.
The area is a nature lover’s paradise and High Borrans perfectly combines the peace and tranquillity of the countryside whilst maintaining easy access to local lakes attractions and amenities.

Perfect for a couple and dog. Well located on a working farm, but only a few miles from services. Cosy, well equipped with a comfy bed. Cathy is a very helpful and accommodating host, we have no hesitation in recommending.
We've been going back to High Borrans for 9 years now, great holiday with dogs, good base to explore the lake district and Cathy is a super host. Hopefully be back next year.
Another fantastic stay at High Borrans, this time in Spinney with our dog. Spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed. Such a lovely quiet place to relax and unwind after exploring the lakes. Comfy bed and a fabulous bath! The outside space is perfect for a warm evening and the gated veranda perfect for our dog to sit and watch the wildlife.
