High Borrans Holt is a centrally heated, 1 bedroom self catering holiday lodge at High Borrans Farm near Windermere. Taking its name from the den of an otter, High Borrans Holt has been inspired by nature and the woodland it is nestled up to. Capturing the evening sunlight perfectly, Holt comes into its own when alfresco dining on the decking. During the daytime the dappled sunlight trickles into the lodge through the woodland trees creating a warm glow and idyllic ambience. Located just off the A591, High Borrans Lodge Park is the ideal place to explore from, with bridleways and footpaths leading to walks such as Orrest Head, Garburn Pass and Sour Howes and Sallows (a Wainwright) perfect for intrepid adventurers.
Holt lodge is unable to accommodate dogs.
High Borrans Lodges are located on a 1000 acre working Lakeland Farm in the fells between the Troutbeck and Kentmere Valleys. The popular Central Lakes villages of Windermere, Bowness & Ambleside and the main local attractions are within easy reach. The nearest shops and supermarket are a short 10 minute drive away in Windermere (3 miles). The nearest pubs are in the nearby villages of Ings or Troutbeck.
The small development of just 7, well positioned and spaced apart lodges and a Shepherd’s Hut take advantage of the peace, tranquillity and lovely views which surround the area. The accommodations are adjacent to a bridle path from where guests can set off on foot or bike to explore the surrounding scenery.
