Sitting at the highest point in High Borrans Lodge Park, Grove lodge boasts a wide view and wraparound decking area. The contemporary open plan kitchen and living room face out through French doors towards the fields, capturing sunlight throughout the day, creating a light, bright and cosy space perfect for enjoying the rural scenery. Sleeping two adults, just two miles from Windermere, Grove is the perfect place for a romantic retreat in the Lake District.

- Strictly no children or infants are permitted at High Borrans.
- High Borrans is a working farm
- Secure wifi is available in the lodge
- Mobile phone signal is very patchy in the surrounding area.
- There is a free to use onsite laundry room in the small stone building at the entrance to the lodge park. This includes 2 washing machines, tumble dyer, iron and ironing board. There is also additional shared freezer storage space (plus some spare dog towels in case of need).
- Arrival is from 4pm. Departure by 10am.
Location
High Borrans Lodges are located on a 1000 acre working Lakeland Farm in the fells between the Troutbeck and Kentmere Valleys. The popular Central Lakes villages of Windermere, Bowness & Ambleside and the main local attractions are within easy reach. The nearest shops and supermarket are a short 10 minute drive away in Windermere (3 miles). The nearest pubs are in the nearby villages of Ings or Troutbeck.
The small development of just 7, well positioned and spaced apart lodges and a Shepherd’s Hut take advantage of the peace, tranquillity and lovely views which surround the area. The accommodations are adjacent to a bridle path from where guests can set off on foot or bike to explore the surrounding scenery.
The area is a nature lover’s paradise and High Borrans perfectly combines the peace and tranquillity of the countryside whilst maintaining easy access to local lakes attractions and amenities.

The lodge was of a very high standard and was very well equipped and very clean.The service and hospitality was of a very high standard it was very quite and very good for wildlife.and good views around, it also has many walks that you can do.The only thing from our point of view was a little remote for us.but apart from that could not fault it.
This was our third stay at High Borrans and again it didn't disappoint. The lodge was clean, tidy and fully equipped. High Borrans is a very quiet and tranquil place. The location makes it easy to get to places either by car or if you prefer there are paths and walking trails on the doorstep.
We had an amazing few days here, very peaceful, amazing views and walks around the area. Perfect for couples looking for time away. We couldnt fault it. The lodges had everything you need. Not far from lake Windermere either by car or bike. We cant wait to come back. 100% recommend staying here.
