Welcome to a stay in your holiday lodge at White Cross Bay. It is one of the most popular holiday park locations in the Lake District and a 5 star Visit Britain rated park located on the shores of Lake Windermere half way between the villages of Windermere & Ambleside.
Easily accessible from the main A591 the 60 acre site enjoys a woodland location leading down to the bay and marina on the shores of the lake. A commemoration stone outside the reception building acknowledges the significance of the location as a former WW2 aerodrome site where Sunderland Seaplanes were built.
Awarded The David Bellamy Award for conservation the park is flanked by the fells with delightful season changing scenery. It offers the perfect base for a family holiday with plenty of on site facilities to enjoy. For relaxation there is an indoor pool, spa pool, sauna and steam room. Younger family members can use the children’s play area with activities during school holidays. There is also evening family entertainment at peak times.
Food and drink can be enjoyed in the recently refurbished Boathouse Bar and Restaurant which has a small outdoor seating area and beer garden.
White Cross Bay is within easy reach of the many local attractions including the Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole just a few minutes away. From here you can catch the Windermere Lake Cruises launch to nearby Ambleside or Bowness on Windermere.
