Located in the Winster Valley, a hidden corner of the Lake District famed for its damsons. In early spring, it is hard to miss the abundance of white blossom at every turn and in mid-April the spectacle is marked by Damson Day, a hugely popular event that brings together local producers and growers of the Westmorland Damson Association to celebrate this very British fruit. Come Autumn, the trees are laden with purple fruits and numerous roadside stalls appear advertising damsons for sale.

An unspoilt area with the most wonderful landscape to soak up, with beautiful backdrops of whitewashed farmhouses, small orchards and wooded meadows filled with bluebells.

Charmingly named the Lake District Woodland Pods, each pod offers guests the chance to relax in comfort and absorb the wonderful ambience from the moment you arrive.
