Autumn is one of the most peaceful times to visit the Lakes. It’s also one of the most spectacular, as the leaves in our valleys turn from green to golden yellows, vibrant oranges and earthy browns and gardens blaze with late blooming flowers.
Autumn is the time of year where the stunning Lake District scenery really begins to stand out. The time when the many trees and mountains take on their most vibrant Colours. A time for cosy, woolly knits and warm drinks that each soothe the soul. But it’s not just the scenery that’s a great reason to visit the Lake District in Autumn.
It’s a little quieter in our towns and villages during Autumn and there is still plenty of things to see and do. Many village craft fairs and local seasonal events take place for Halloween, Bonfire night and leading up to Christmas.
