This delightful apartment offers superb accommodation for guests to kick back and relax after exploring the Lakes. Superbly placed in a peaceful and elevated position above the village to take in the magnificent view of the Fells and glimpses of Lake Windermere.
In addition, this bijou apartment is at the start of the Dales Way walk and with direct access to many other public footpaths, plus a mere minutes stroll to the bars, restaurants and cafes in the picturesque village of Bowness on Windermere. Add in the variety of tourist attractions such as Windermere Lake Cruises or for those more adventurous, water activities…. the choice really is endless….

A little history on your accommodation, Annie's View is on the first floor of Spinnery Cottage and built in the traditional Lakeland style. In the late 19th and early 20th Century Spinnery Cottage formerly known as the Spinnery was one of the first spinning, weaving and embroidery workshops used by locally and internationally renowned designer Annie Garnett.

Located on Brantfell Road in Bowness-on-Windermere. The property has excellent transport links nearby with a local bus service to Ambleside, Grasmere and Keswick (Stagecoach bus route No 555) and Windermere train station approximately one mile away.

Reviews
Comfortable accommodation in an excellent location. Only criticism is that the toilet seat needs replacing as it is stained underneath and doesnt meet the standard of the rest of the apartment.
A lovely little place to stay in the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere. In my opinion more could be made of Annie's view's history. Take down the generic art work of a New York USA scene in the lounge. Put up prints of the old photographs from the cottage's history as illustrated in the books supplied on the bookcase. Or some pictures up that are linked to the area.
The cottage had great facilities. The shower cubicle needed a good clean as the tiles were full of mould & grime. Just lacked the attention it should deserve.
The hill walking up to Annies view a little steep four or 5 times a day . But keeps you fit. Apart from that very handy location.
